The Year 11 GCSE Art students visited The Saatchi Gallery during October 2017 this year. The Exhibition was named Iconoclasts: Art Out of the Mainstream Iconoclasts. It featured an eclectic range of highly diverse works ranging from wax casts made from the esophagus and lungs of a cow to ornate oriental lacquer works and sculptures made from feathers as well as some highly original painters. The visuals were arresting. Our students were captivated and curious. The experience was supported by a gallery tour on selected pieces provided by Saatchi representatives that was both enlightening and informative. We have included a small selection of student photographs.
