On November 14, 15 and 16, year 7s took a trip to Canterbury for a combined RS/Geography trip. The morning was spent seeing Canterbury Cathedral as a place of pilgrimage for centuries because of the martyrdom of Thomas a Becket. The afternoon was spent in a study of Canterbury high street as either a home town, a town with a good number of small independent and local shops or a clone town, one dominated by nation-wide chains. The students thoroughly enjoyed both parts of the day as a unique and thought-provoking learning experience.
