I write at the end of a busy half term in which there has been a huge amount of activities taking place. The vast majority of the pupils have settled into good working routines and are actively engaged in their learning.
The Senior Speech Day took place in September which was a celebration of the achievements of the current Year 12 and Year 13 and last year’s Year 13 students at which the prizes were presented by Sir Clive Lloyd. The second major event for the school was the Prospective Parents’ Evening and Morning which saw a huge number of visitors with over 2000 guests arriving to see all the hard work done by all the staff and students. It is a pleasure to see that our pupils have worked hard over the term with the support from teachers, parents and carers. I would like you to continue working with us by supporting your child to secure sound progress in their development.
Although it has been a very busy term I am confident that the school is preparing the pupils well for their forthcoming examinations. I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
