Headmaster’s Spring Update

It has been another busy term with lots of progress with the buildings at CSGS and we have invested £3.1m in the new Legacy Building for our Sixth Form, £640,000 in renewing the eroded pipes of the heating and water system and have received just under £1.5m for a new Performing Arts Building which will incorporate the Music and Drama Departments. In total the school has successfully secured nearly £5.3m already and just before Easter the school was given an additional £487,000 to improve the remainder of the pipework in the school. It has been an excellent time for the school as we have been able to improve and maintain the infrastructure of the school making it a more pleasant and comfortable environment for staff and children.
There has been a plethora of trips, extracurricular activities as well as sporting fixtures for children to take part in. We are now fast approaching the exam season for all children with both the external and internal exams due to take place. It is important that all children take full advantage of the revision sessions which teachers are running as well as making sure that they are looking at published revision lists.
I would like to wish all children the best of luck in the forthcoming exams.
